The Macallan 12 Year Old Negotiable

The Macallan 12 years Sherry Oak has a rich gold colour and is part of Macallan’s Sherry Oak range (that features a series of single malt whiskies) which has spent its entire period of maturation in hand-picked sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez in Spain, and after aging for twelve years, it is bottled at 40% ABV. This sherried Macallan with its richness and complexity is full of the trademark notes of marmalade, rich wood spice, and dried fruit that the world has come to love.

Nose: It is sweet and crisp on the nose with notes of fresh apple blossom, floral notes, sherry, and sultanas. Calvados, golden syrup, vanilla, and tropical fruit notes also emerge. Hints of ginger and wood smoke also abound.

Palate: It is firm, smooth, and medium-bodied with notes of fruit, sweet raisins, rich sherry, soft spice, marmalade, oak, plums and prunes, peels, hot pastries, dark barrel char, and sultanas with a sweetness that develops from the barley sugar.
